"Time scale modification" is, in a simpler way, playback during fast forwarding such as with VCR's. Regular fast forwarding makes the sound high pitched, and the sound is far from its original sound. This software puts the sound back to its original pitch. You can have a quick listening of recorded radio programs, lectures, etc. by playing them faster, and can zap through TV programs recorded on PC. Also, when you learn languages or how to play musical instruments, you can play and listen to examples and instructional recordings at slower speed.
